Chelsea began riding hunt seat at 6yr old and worked her way through the 4-H programs state and national competitions. I participated in equine judging to further my understanding of what conformational effects different riding disciplines. Passing my knowledge on to the next generation through teaching lessons increased my awareness of how influential riders are on our equine partners. After going to Las Vegas for college I spent 16 years running a Paint halter horse barn, showing mini horses, competing in western pleasure, training and riding Andalusian stallions for the Excalibur Hotel and deepening my love for dressage. As my diversity grew I continued to personally pursue my dressage training with my Egyptian Arabian stallion, competing in many sport horse and dressage shows throughout California. My next partner was a Friesian/ Thoroughbred mare whose passion matched mine.
Moving to Texas with my equine bodywork business I continued to compete in dressage and teach riders of every discipline. It was there where I met my husband, Kyle Jones, who while growing up with cattle had always wanted a big black Percheron. We added our first Percheron mare, FE Madelyn "Maddie" shortly after marrying. It was a honeymoon trip to Wisconsin to bring Maddie home.
We have 3 Percherons - two blue roan mares, one black and one Belgian Warmblood who is a retired jumper. Our goal is to breed healthy, genetically tested sport horses for every sized rider.
